About

Identity infrastructure, built in Ghana.

DigiD Ghana is a digital identity and secure sign-in platform in development by M&S Digital Solutions, a registered business in Ghana.

Our aim

Help services verify people with more confidence.

DigiD Ghana is being developed to make digital identity verification and secure online access easier for individuals, businesses and public institutions. Our goal is to help digital services verify identities with greater confidence while giving people a secure, understandable way to approve authentication requests.

Where we are

What exists, and what does not.

Working in testing

  • The DigiD Ghana mobile app and its sign-in approval.
  • The sign-in service and its standards-based integration (OpenID Connect).
  • A sandbox for organisations, with invented people.
  • An organisation onboarding and review process.

In development and planned

  • Public availability and the app in the app stores.
  • Real identity verification with an official source.
  • An independent security test and a data-protection impact assessment before launch.
  • Recovery for a lost phone, and more languages.

Independent
